The West Rand Junior Chess Association is a non profit making association that exists to promote chess at a Junior (Under the age of 22) level on the West Rand. This is done by organizing chess leagues for Primary Schools and High Schools. We also organize a number of chess tournament throughout the year, including the prestigious West Rand / Webcom Open tournament. Being a non-profit organization, we are always in need of sponsorship and assistance. If you can assist us in any way, either by of donating your time at our tournaments, or sponsoring prizes at our tournaments, please don't hesitate to contact us. Also, a number of schools, and individual players, are desperately in need of chess coaches. If you can give up an hour or two of your time each week to coach these school children, please let us know.
